Description

This Fossil Sand Dollar is also referred to as a Fossil Sea Urchin. It is a Clypeasteroid, a member of the Echinoid family. This fine specimen was alive during the Jurassic Age (approx 145 -200 million years ago), and exhibits a fantastic (5-rayed) star. The top of the specimen has been polished by our Fossil Prep Lab in Madagascar. A perfect gift for kids, an aspiring rockhound, or any seasoned collector of fine fossil specimens.
