Black wooden frame with Af swallowtail (Papillio dardanus)


Unique wooden black frame containing a real Africanswallowtail (Papillio Dardanus) carefully mounted in the passe-partout of the frame.

The frame is completely air-sealed and is 25 x 25cm of high quality wood. It is also 99% UV blocking for preserving the specimen.

Papilio dardanus, the African swallowtailmocker swallowtail or flying handkerchief, is a species of butterfly in the family Papilionidae (the swallowtails). The species is broadly distributed throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The British entomologist E. B. Poulton described it as “the most interesting butterfly in the world”.
