Partially opened Male Black-casqued Hornbill skull – Ceratogymna atrata – 17,5 cm


This male black-casqued hornbill skull has a partially open casque which makes an education skull to do research what is inside the casque.
It is well preserved and has a size of 17,5 cm.

The skull of this species is from a Dutch birding center where the animal had a natural death. No animal was killed specifically for this object.

The black-casqued hornbill or black-casqued wattled hornbill (Ceratogymna atrata) is a species of hornbill in the family Bucerotidae. It is found in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Togo, and Uganda.
