Rare Harpes Perriradiatus trilobite from Alnif, Morocco

This is a very rare Middle Devonian trilobite, Harpes perriradiatus. The trilobite was found in Hamar Lagdad Limestone formation near Alnif, Morocco and is extremely well-preserved showcasing the fine-pitting on the preglabellar shield, the small eyes and thorax that has been exposed below the level of the spines.

The trilobite measures 5,1 cm, from the tip of the shield to the tips of the spines, and 3,3 cm wide. The trilobite and matrix measure 49,6 cm x 7,4 cm.

The object is from the Mid Devon, about 410 – 360 million years old.
